Society Girls, Girls, Girls (and celebutantes!)

We've been completely slacking on Fashion Week coverage, sorry. We'll do better next year! But WE WILL post about Heatherette's (one of our favorite desiiigners) 2007 showing - the models were certainly something to talk about. Paris Hilton opened the show, in a somewhat successful attempt at staging a comeback following a string of recent faux pas' (click her link under categories for all recent stories!). Other absolutely necessary mentionable(s) in the show were Paris' sister, designer Nicky Hilton, our favorite socialites Tinsley Mortimer and Lydia Hearst, and musical divas we adooore, Kelis and Mya. Actress Mena Suvari, looking adorable, also took a stroll down the 'walk. All of our haute models were upstaged by Miss Amanda Lepore, which comes as a surprise to no one - she is FAB! WHICH beleaguered singer has had a lavish album launch party cancelled by his label after a run of bad press? The powers that be have decided there isn't much to celebrate at the moment.

We heard JT's album launch party was supposed to go on tonight, but then there are also reports of his being 'completely wasted' on Letterman. Who knows?

In other news, Lindsay Lohan continues to party and ignore boytoy Harry Morton...

ANOTHER night, another party for actress Lindsay Lohan. While Jay Kay was busy brawling outside Soho's swish Kabaret's Prophecy nightclub, La Lohan was inside knocking back the vodkas. We're told the 19-year-old star swapped numbers with one of 50 Cent's G-Unit and lothario Calum Best - while ignoring her boyfriend Harry Morton. One clubber tells us: "Lindsay and Harry barely talked all night, she was busy dancing with other blokes and even gave her number out twice. "At one stage she demanded that the men's toilets be closed off for her because she didn't like the ladies. But all was OK by the end of the night as she and Harry left together."

"Angelina delights everyone she encounters," gushed an insider. She brings tons of baked goods and trinkets for the nurses, unfailingly makes chatty visits to other patients — then cheerfully signs autographs and poses for photos with anyone who asks while waiting for her mom. Said one awed source: "Angelina's one of the biggest stars this town's ever seen — but she never wants anyone to make a fuss over her!"

Nicole Richie is hanging up on ex-beau, Adam “DJ A.M.” Goldstein -- for good. Tired of getting “constant” phone calls and text messages from him, Richie changed both her cellphone and home numbers, a source close to Richie tells Us Weekly. “Nicole just wants to move on, but he won’t let go,” the source says. (After two years together, Richie, 25, and Goldstein, 33, split last December, briefly reconciled and then split a second time in May; she has been dating childhood pal Brody Jenner, 23, for about a month.)
Richie also told security guards at her West Hollywood condo to bar Goldstein from the building, says the source, who adds she’s considering changing her e-mail address as well. “Nicole thinks it’s unhealthy for them to talk and hopes A.M. will finally just leave her alone,” the source says. A rep for Goldstein tells Us, “This whole story is utterly ridiculous.” And a pal of the DJ also defends him: “If anything, it is the other way around,” the friend says. “She’s the one who calls him, and he wants nothing to do with her. He is very happy not to be with her and is dating other girls.”

After a long night of Fashion Week after-parties, Hilton and Barker headed to exclusive hotspot Marquee, and took up residence in one of the club's banquettes. Despite the considerable racket around them, Paris and Travis talked intently with one another, and then engaged in a long, intense kiss, oblivious to the pulsing throngs. Some time after their lip-lock, Paris checks her mobile device and decides that she's got other places to be, leaving Travis behind.

Is pop-tart-cum-wannabe-actress Jessica Simpson finally distancing herself from dadager Joe Simpson? Joe, fondly known as "Papa Joe" in these parts, has been her manager for her extensive career, making most (probably all) business decisions for Jess. Joe Simpson Can't Seem To Stop Meddling In Pop Star Daughter Jessica's Life

Jessica Simpson already got rid of one main man in her life and now she's quickly distancing herself from another. After jettisoning (and paying off) husband Nick Lachey, the 26-year-old blonde is continuing to break away from her controlling manager father Joe Simpson. During a trip to Universal Studios with her mom and dad, the singer was giving an interview and noticed a nearby group of cheering, waving fans. When she went to greet them, "Joe flipped out," said a source. "Jessica totally ignored him. She posed and signed autographs. Her mother even took her side. Her mother told Jess: 'You go girl!' and then told Joe: 'Leave her alone. They're her fans.'" Jessica has also been feuding with her father over her choice of boyfriends. He has not approved of any of the guys she's dated including Dane Cook, Jared Leto and her latest love John Mayer. (The ENQUIRER broke the story about Jessica's secret romance with Mayer in a cover story two weeks ago.) According to the source: "She recently told him, 'Dad, I'm capable of making my own choices. If I need your opinion, I have all your numbers!'
"Joe was shocked. He just wants what all Dads want — for his kid to be happy. Joe is a worrier, and he doesn't want Jessica to settle for the first guy she's with. That's why they're clashing.
"But Jessica wants to have fun right now — and her dad just can't seem to stop meddling."
